dim the lights
« making space »
i’m in my experimental era — where every day (or, every few days), i challenge myself to wear something that’s been collecting dust in my closet. you know, the pieces i haven’t had the heart to part with, even if they’ve just been hanging there like archival ghosts.
what this really means is i risk feeling wildly uncomfortable—physically or emotionally in my outfit (is anyone else as emotionally affected by their clothing as i am?) — or, on a good day, rediscovering an underrated gem.
either way, i come home, look in the mirror one last time, and decide if it’s time to part ways.
really, the only way to know is to try.

let’s talk lighting. someone recently (3 months ago lol) sent me a reel about how you always know you’re in a gay person’s home because you can’t see a thing. and if that’s any indicator, then i am gay as the day is long — because let me tell you: i will do everything in my power to avoid recessed lighting. if you want romance and longevity lights should not be glaring over you, especially not at 5000K. lights are meant to tell a story and guide you where you’re meant to go through a room.
